Performance Enhancement For Today's Infantry Units
With its compactness and low weight the HK69 Grenade Launcher is the most appropriate low-level support system for the enhancement of the infantry's combat performance.
The effectiveness of the 40 mm x 46 ammunition and the capability of firing different types of cartridges enables the HK69 Grenade Launcher to carry out a variety of tactical tasks.
Today's squad level equipment requires a support weapon system which increases the squad's fire power and enables the soldier to successfully engage targets in trenches, behind barricades or inside buildings which are hard to neutralize with weapons usually used at this level.
This support weapon system must furthermore be readily available and be capable of carrying out a variety of other tasks. The HK69 Grenade Launcher is specially designed for these requirements. Developed as a complementary weapon system the HK69's overall dimensions and weight permit an easy carrying of the weapon by the infantryman, additionally to his usual combat equipment.
The HK69's range of 350 m and the availability of 40 mm x 46 high explosive fragmentation grenades with impact detonator fill the until now existing tactical gap between a hand thrown grenade and the light mortar firing.
In addition to the high explosive fragmentation grenade with shrapnel-effect at a radius of about 10 m around the point of detonation the following types of cartridges can be fired with the HK69 Grenade Launcher:
+ Smoke and flare cartridges
+ Irritant agent cartridges (CS or CN gas)
+ Signal ammunition
+ Powerful battlefield illumination ammunition
+ Training ammunition with and without tracer
Handling, accurate target engagement and firing of the HK69 are of utmost ease and require only little training and experience.
Special HK69 characteristics:
+ Folding blade and ladder sight for quick aiming at all ranges
+ Break action system, well designed, with barrel and breech made of solid steel
+ Telescopic butt stock, easily extendable and retractable
Special care has been attributed to make the HK69 as safe as possible by applying a drop safety and a positive hammer lock, additionally to the standard safety lever mechanism.
